These sessions are designed to provided a supportive space for those who are on the frontlines of change, come together, process the world and our work, share knowledge, and heal.
The sessions and workshops are designed to create a space where individuals involved in humanitarian efforts can connect, share experiences, and process the emotional toll of their work through creative and hands-on means. It’s a place to share the challenges we’re facing, reflect on our personal journeys, and heal together in a supportive, like-minded community.

April 17th, 2026 at 3pm UTC - Moral Injury 101
What happens when we are forced to transgress our sense of morality? Moral injury is an emerging term for an age-old experience. When people are forced to act in a way they feel is wrong, it can cause residual feelings of guilt, shame, and grief. It can disrupt our identities and our sense of meaning, purpose and belonging. The impacts can be devastating. How can we cope with these feelings and experiences? How can we navigate a world where we feel so much is wrong? This session will provide an introduction to moral injury, potentially morally injurious events, and to ways to build a toolbox to help hope with moral injury when it occurs in ourselves and others. Come prepared to reflect on your own and collectively.
Format: Individual and large group reflection and discussion
Suggested supplies: Paper or notebook and a pen for reflection activities
April 22nd, 2026 at 4pm UTC - Healing Properties of Earth and the Elements
In celebration of Earth Day, April’s Wellness Session will encourage us to reconnect with nature and our symbiotic role within the ecosystem. As we reflect on our state of belonging and coexistence, we will make a personal reclamation piece from our reflections. This is an art piece that is meant to be reclaimed by nature.
Format: Large group reflection and discussion
Suggested supplies: We recommend you spend some time in nature before the session and gather some items that inspire you to use for your art project. Also consider using biodegradable paper, paints, adhesives, and other materials for your project
May 20th at 4pm UTC - Communicating your Mental Health Needs this Mental Health Month
How do you communicate your thoughts, feelings, and emotions most intuitively? What kind of communication is most supportive to you when you are in a time of need? Much like different love languages, we also have different ways of communicating when we are in a state of mental or emotional distress. Most of us have not taken time to reflect on how we naturally communicate our needs for support, understanding, and care, which can make times of crisis feel lonely and isolating while leaving our loved ones at a loss for how to help. This wellness session will encourage you to reflect on what ways work best for you to communicate your thoughts and feelings with yourself and with others.
Format: Self-reflection
Suggested supplies: A pen and some paper or a notebook to write down your reflections
June 17th 4pm UTC - Body Liberation
Our bodies are the vessels of our vitality. They are the canvases for our self-expression, the spaces that we grow and heal in, and they are also shaped and perceived by the world around us - all of our experiences are lived through and with our bodies. When residual traumas, grief, conflict, and other experiences sit in our bodies, it can have harmful impacts on us, the people around us, and the social justice spaces we find ourselves in. These intense and conflicting roles our bodies play in our human experience can make existing in them a difficult task. How can we liberate ourselves from these thoughts and feelings at a visceral and intellectual level?
Format: Self-reflection, small group activities in breakout rooms, and movement-based activities
Suggested supplies: A pen and some paper or a notebook to write down thoughts and reflections. Make sure you are in a space where you can comfortably move and do some breathwork!
July 22nd at 4pm UTC - Window of Tolerance
The Window of Tolerance is a conceptual tool that allows us to visualize our capacity for adverse life events. When our window is open, we have the ability to cope with big ups and downs, unanticipated life events, and to be in a support role for others. When our window is more closed, we might struggle to cope with even the smallest daily stressors. This wellness session will walk us through a series of reflections to help you identify ways to keep your window of tolerance open, and some of the factors that close it and move you towards burnout and overwhelm.
Format: Self-reflection and optional breakout room sharing
Suggested supplies: A pen and some paper or a notebook for your reflections
August 19th at 4pm UTC - Cultural Nourishment
How can we lean into the warm embrace of our culture to support our emotional and spiritual wellbeing? This wellness session will ground us in the cultures that shaped us and make us who we are. Participants will be encouraged to reconnect with aspects of their culture that help anchor them in their work as humanitarians, activists, or anyone involved in social justice work.
Format: Self-reflection and optional breakout room sharing
Suggested supplies: A pen and some paper or a notebook for your reflections. Also consider bringing a culturally significant or special snack or drink to enjoy during the session!

Embracing the Power of Your Identity: In a world that rewards conformity - especially the kind shaped by whiteness, maleness, and dominance - how do you show up as your full self? Join us for a conversation on leveraging your identity in spaces that weren’t built for you, resisting the urge to shrink yourself to fit, and reclaiming the strength that lives in your uniqueness.
Sacred Grief: Grief is sacred. So is your work. This month, we gather to honor the quiet sorrow that lives in our field—what we’ve witnessed, what we’ve buried, and what we’re still learning to process and understand. For those who hold stories of loss, cross borders with others, and carry more than what’s visible—this space is for you. Come breathe. Be witnessed. And remember: your heart is not a liability—it’s a compass.
Herbalism, Witchcraft, and Rituals: Let’s tap into the indigenous wisdom of the natural world—through herbalism, ritual, and connection with the plants that nourish and protect us. We’re embracing our inner witches, reclaiming spiritual practices rooted in care and resistance, and remembering that healing doesn’t come from systems—it comes from the earth, community. Come curious. Come barefoot. Come ready to steep in something sacred.
Moral Injury Peer Support Group Session: In-Sight Collaborative's Emily Reznicek and Madi Williamson lead session to introduce the concept of moral injury and how to start the conversation with yourself and your peers.
